Description
The famous white cliffs, but whilst there is detail in the portrayal, Holloway finds a stunning abstraction, too, with the whiteness seemingly made stronger by the darkness of the land on one side and the beach and sea on the other. This is an unusual view, and all the more engaging because whilst portrayals of the cliffs are many, there are few in black and white depicting the cliffs from this height.
