Watercolour with pen and ink, originally for ‘This is Paris’ (1959). This is the left bank, the Paris of Sartre and Rimbaud, of Matisse and Picasso – the Paris of bohemianism and the arts. These kiosks (which still exist) are always worth a browse. You can pick up a lithograph for that empty wall space, or procure that sought after volume. You may even find a first edition ‘This is Paris’ by Miroslav Sasek.
