Colour lithograph (1960). In the BBC television programme Monitor: A Sense of Order (1963) Bawden - who knew Liverpool Street Station very well as he used it regularly whilst travelling between London and Great Bardfield in Essex where he lived - declared:.."I think the ceiling is absolutely magnificant, it is one of the wonders of London". And, as here depicted, who could disagree? Original size: 52.8 x 1,45.3 cm.
