Linocut (1930). Printed from three blocks using Chinese Orange; Viridian; Dark Blue. Original size: 21.3 x 29.7cm. Andrews often chose, as in this print, a composition with one main focal point, and she as often makes manual labour her subject of focus. The men are abstracted into iron-like forms, and by so portraying them they become not so much operators, as integral parts of the mechanism.
