Linocut (1933). Printed from 3 blocks in Dark Blue; Brown; Viridian. Original size: 30.2 x 20.0cm. One critic, after seeing Tschudi’s early work, wrote of her: 'She seems to seize activity on the wing and fix it in her linocuts'. These Parisian billposters just outside a Metro station are fully stretched to paste their posters on the wall. Tschudi perfectly catches both motion and balance in this print.
