Description

Linocut (c. 1929-30). Printed from 4 blocks: grey; reddish brown; emerald green; cobalt blue. The narrative here is very typical of Spower’s work: she often explores the world of the child. Here a girl leans against her mother; her father opens the door of a vehicle; rain pours from the sky but everyone is protected by the curve of a huge umbrella.

Size: 24.3 x 20.4; paper 35.3 x 31.4 cm.

Format: Giclée Print, Limited Edition (1/850) on 310 gsm thick, 100% cotton rag. Hand-numbered and hand-embossed.
