Description
Colour linocut (1963). The Pagoda in Kew Gardens, London, was designed by William Chambers and built in 1761 - when Chinoiserie as an aesthetic was at its height. Both the Pagoda and Kew Gardens were amongst Bawdens favourite places, and his work very often incorporates imagery derived from these visits. Original size: 1,155 x 66.5cm
