Description

Linocut (c.1932). Original image size: 23.2 x 31.5cm. Printed from three blocks: Viridian; Permanent Blue; Chinese Blue. This is Malcolm Campbell’s ‘Bluebird’ which set a new world land speed record of just over 246 miles per hour at Daytona Beach, Florida, 1931. The helmet Campbell wears is only just visible - man has become dynamic machine.
