Wood Engraving (1933). Original size 20.3 x 25.3cm. Here Leighton uses wood engraving to depict a wooden hay-cutter: the artist's means seem as apt as the portrayal is accurate. There is such movement in this print: the farmers pirouette like dancers around the tumbling of the hay.
